qur'an and pre-islamic poetry from the intertextuality to the innovation

based on the theory of intertextuality, literary texts are in natural interaction with other texts before their time. the present study is an attempt to explain the relation between quran - as a religious literary text - with pre-islamic poetry. however the holy quran has a divine origin, but its language is a humane language and understandable to all people. thus, we see the vocabulary and structure of the koran were also used in arabic language and literature. quran has refused some pre-islamic beliefs and also has confirmed and modified the others. meanwhile, there are too many themes in the qur'an that we find no trace of them in the pre-islamic literature. so, with such perspective, we can well understand the relation between the quran and the pre-islamic poetry based on the intertextuality.
